Wedding Preperation Part 2

Previously, I blogged about doing my Hair at Artica.

Today I will be talking about my Wedding Nails.

Wedding Nails are usually a very important factor especially during ring exchange.

A few weeks back I was looking arounf Orchard for a place to remove my Gelish and almost everywhere is quoting me an extreme high price of $15 - $20 which I don't feel it worth the price.

A friend of mine and I went up to Midpoint Orchard at about 9pm just trying our luck to see if any shop is open and at a cheap price. We were kind of disappointed when all shops are already dark until the 2nd last level (before I give up), a dimly lit little corner. 

I went in and check on the price and removal is just $5. Not hesitating, I asked if I can still do and she told me that I have to wait for 10mins as she is still busy.

Totally satisfied with her service, I made appointment with her for my wedding nails on the 22nd December.

Before the appointment, I tried my best not to break my nails but due to work commitments and events, out of 10 nails, I left with 3 long ones.  No choice I had to do extension. Jane (Manicurist / Boss) suggested the Arcylic Exension that will last longer.

 As you can see, the Arcylic is sticked on the tip only and is really light and soft.

I am kinda Chor Lor, so by Tuesday, my index finger bling bling came off

Preperation for Wedding

From Head to Toes

My Solemnization will be in 1 week time and I'm super nervous.  Seems like I've not prepared enough.

So, I will start with my Hair.  The last time I dyed my hair was in Japan which is more than 6mths ago.

Worse of all, I did Dip Dye (bleached 2 times) and Perm together which ruined my hair and honestly, I was very upset about it.

Yes, it was really nice.  

But as time pass, the color faded and revealed my alredy dead ends.

Googled search and through friends recommendation, I made an appointment with 

Artica Hair Studio

As I did not appoint Juno (my colleague's stylist) due to the promotional rate, 

I was appointed Sunies.

Did the $88 promo which include Cut + Dye + Treatment

but upgraded to $108 for Cut + Loreal Dye + Protein Treatment

I did not expect much for my length and just trim a little (Which girl do not want long hair during wedding)

More importantly is to get rid of the hair color.

Sunies attentively listens to what I am looking for and advise.

At the end i chose the Chocolate.

Sunies did my hair well and is really satisfied with the outcome.

After the session, my hair became silky soft and airy even without rebonding..

It felt like my hair became alive again.

He even advise me that since I did Bleach my hair before, the color will tend to fade faster. So, i should use Shampoo for colored Hair and also wash it with cold water so that the color will stay longer.

Hai Di Lao Huo Guo 海底捞火锅

Late Lunch

After much reviews from people around us, The BF and I went on to make a booking for the so popular Steam Boat.

Made a booking 1 week before actual date but dinner is already fully booked.  So I made booking for late lunch which was a good thing as there wasn't much people around and we got our seats almost immediately.

Before going over to the seat, I as well booked for my free express manicure (Complimentary).

I was immediately surprised by their service standard right from the minute we step in.

While they escorted us to our seats, the server asked if it is our first time and we said yes.  They then seated us and pass the apron to us (High Quality Apron).  Following that she check with us the choice of drink and then pass us their iPad to order (teaching us step by step on how to use). 

We ordered the Tomato Soup Base and Laksa and lots of MEAT!!  I'm a meat eater and actually hate Veg. *Haha*

 

 Fish Paste.  Definitely one of the best

 Half way through, I notice them pushing something bulky over then I saw this.  A Baby Cot.  How thoughtful of them for families with babies.

Lastly, we ordered the Mantou with Condensed Milk

OMG!!!! It is DELICIOUS!!!!!

Seriously, its my first time having man tou with condense milk

its a cheap thing but taste so heavenly.

 

Overall, this place for steamboat, the price is on a high side

But is totally worth it.

 

Of course if you compare with those at Bugis, definitely you will say its very high as this is by Ala Carte style while Bugis  is buffet.

 

 

 

Hai Di Lao is definitely a must try for steamboat lovers.

 

For soup base, the tomato base is a good choice, a little sour, a little sweet.

Very 开胃!!

 

Steep price I believe is due to the high quality of food they are using and the service standard

 

Not like those you try at Bugis street.

 

As I said in the beginning, Complimentary Manicure available for booking while having your meal there.

More to that, they also have Jewelry Cleaner machine and tidbits for you to munch on while waiting for your place.

 

Oh ya, when you are seated, they will as well provide free rubber band for long hair, a Zip Block for your Mobile phone, thick good cloth to over your bag.

 

That will be my First BUT definitely NOT my LAST
